Flame of Hope
A magical bow.
Stats: damage: 1d8+1 crit:20/ x3 range: 100 ft
Effective Enhancement bonus: +4
A courageous weapon fortifies the wielder’s courage and morale in battle. The wielder gains a morale bonus on saving throws against fear equal to the weapon’s enhancement bonus. In addition, any morale bonus the wielder gains from any other source is increased by half the weapon’s enhancement bonus (minimum 1).
A flaming burst weapon functions as a flaming weapon that also explodes with flame upon striking a successful critical hit. The fire does not harm the wielder. In addition to the extra fire damage from the flaming ability (see above), a flaming burst weapon deals an extra 1d10 points of fire damage on a successful critical hit. If the weapon’s critical multiplier is x3, add an extra 2d10 points of fire damage instead, and if the multiplier is x4, add an extra 3d10 points of fire damage.
Upon command, a flaming weapon is sheathed in fire that deals an extra 1d6 points of fire damage on a successful hit. The fire does not harm the wielder. The effect remains until another command is given.
A bow made by Evelyn Derinias for her son, intending to give it to him upon his birth day.
Unfortunately, the Inquisition got there first, and she gave the bow to him then to ensure he would have some remembrance of her, plus as a way to defend himself.
Colin, obviously, isn’t going to let this thing get broken any time soon.
